First Time Blogger…

So this is exactly as it states, my first time blogging.

I do feel like a fish out of water, but I’m in need of doing something for myself and this seemed the best choice for a stay at home mum, like myself.

My days are filled with looking after my daughter, and believe me, that’s a full time job in itself. But after spending 2 years devoted to her, giving her all she needs and the care and love she deserves, isn’t it only fair that I take a little something for myself? I’m not talking about going out every weekend and abandoning my daughter, just this simple blog; a place where I can be someone that isn’t just a mother, a wife or a daughter but someone who has something to say and something to show.

‘So what is the point in this blog?’, I hear you say. ‘It’s called, Photography by Jem’….that is true and thus leads me to why I’ve started this blog and that is to share with you, my love of photography, something I’m very passionate about and hopefully some of you are too.

I love how easily accessible photography is now, whether that be with a phone, a DSLR or even a good, old school 35mm. I’m always snapping pics on my phone and plastering them all over Instagram, Twitter and Facebook but now I’m looking to excel myself and I plan on using this blog as my platform. It’s time for me to get serious about my photography and go from hobby to career. So let’s watch this space and see where I go…..
